Some people have actual health reasons for being wary of the vaccine. We are already seeing that it can trigger long-term effects in people with chronic conditions. I am one of those people. So now I am “half-vaxxed” with my doctor advising me not to get a second. It’s completely wishful thinking to think that there is a vaccine or any drug that is “safe and effective” for everyone. That simply does not exist and pretending that it does is willfully naive. It also completely denies the fact that almost all who get COVID recover without medical intervention. So those insisting that a healthy immune system cannot protect you are of course going to be seen as exaggerating and denying the facts. The politicization of the issue has made nuanced discussion impossible.
